ABOUT

Dutch artist Inge van Genuchten, based in London, has developed a practice that merges time, space and perception.

Through installations, performance and print Inge van Genuchten seek to capture the intangible in a tangible form and create a close understanding of the matter by drawing a direct relation to its changeability. The work navigates through the area of environmental fragility and interpenetrates into different realities in which we exist. Combining natural and industrial processes and by focusing on their fluid characteristics, her work addresses an underlying system. A mechanism or process that generates movement, by making and breaking connections to each other.

Inge van Genuchten holds an MFA in Fine Art from the Royal College of Art, London, and a BFA from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Her work has been shown internationally at various venues such as Nest, Den Haag; Crypt Gallery, London; Nieuw Dakota, Amsterdam.
